True, but what it comes down to is Paul Washer is saying if you don't maintain a "standard" of good behavior, your salvation is in danger of being lost and that is simply not biblical.

So what makes you different than the world, if you are living just like it. The bible says that once you receive jesus you became a new person, and i dont know how a person who truly knows God have no desire for Him but for the world..

“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …

Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these
things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

SOURCE: Harry A. Ironside, from the sermon: What Is The Gospel?

“The change in your heart, sinner, is God's part and you may be sure He will attend to that. Your part is to simply believe in Him. Whatever else is necessary in your eternal salvation, the Lord attends to when you trust in Him, or believe in Him.”

Of course she's still saved. However, there's probably been many consequences of her turning away and also rewards lost in heaven. But once saved always saved, despite her turning away.

I totally agree, I just have one question. I had a best friend who I really knew, she would preach in church, she was baptizrd with the holy spirit, she lived a life tha we are supposed to, but about a year ago she turned away from God, she does whatever she wants now and is living a life that like Paul said, he dispises. My question is, do you think she was never saved or she was saved once but now she is not anymore.

Paul Washer's gospel is one of fear! How can we ever know if we're "good enough" to maintain our salvation? We'd always be worried even if we messed up once that we've lost our salvation and we're going to hell. For more on eternal security, please see:

Jason, he was talking about sin he struggled with daily. You were saved the moment you believed and the Holy Spirit sealed your salvation. See also this site:

My question is for Paul. I have seen some of your youtube sermons and feel the need to ask you after we come to become true followers of Christ do you think we are still capable of sin? I myself put Christ at the front of all I do but yet find myself sinning dayly. I repent for my sin. Yet there are some sin that have tripped me repeatedly. I have turned from many sins since I truely chose to follow Christ or Christ chose me, yet I am still such a failure. I feel though thats the beuty of Gods grace. Only through the blood of Jesus can I be washed and set free. I under my own power am weak but though the power of the Holy Spirit can overcome sin. Yet I stumble. I want to obey god. I fail sometimes. The apostle Paul said I am cheif among sinners. Now was he talking of sin before he met Jesus or was he talking of sin he stugled with daily?

Praise God for these men of God! Praise Jesus that they are emulating true preaching and teaching. Praise God that they extend themselves to the next generation to mentor and equip us to boldly proclaim the gospel!
